A huge thank you to those who joined us for our first webinar of 2021. Going into Level Three lockdown in Auckland the day prior meant we couldn’t film in the nib office as planned, but we are grateful to the advisers who tuned in to watch us presenting live from the comfort of our homes.
In this episode, nib’s Head of Adviser Distribution, Chris Carnall, provided a brief overview of the Intermediary Agreement, which was followed by a presentation on our improved ACC processes, led by guest speaker Megan Grimwood, nib’s Health Engagement Manager. She explained how our dedicated ACC team works with our claims team, healthcare partners and ACC to achieve good outcomes for your clients, our members.
Here are some of the key takeaways for you and your clients:
Value add for clients with existing nib cover: If there’s a delay in ACC processing a claim, the nib claims team will step in, pre-approve and pay the claim (providing it meets eligibility criteria). nib will then recoup costs from ACC directly.
Member care: Our ACC processes provide an additional benefit of nib cover, another selling point for new clients.
Direct line of communication: All questions and queries from advisers and their clients relating to current or declined ACC claims will be answered by a dedicated case manager, who will oversee the start to end process.
High success rate: We’ll work with legal counsel to review a case if we aren’t able to reach a resolution with ACC.
Advocacy and support: Assistance in unlocking additional ACC benefits for your clients to ensure they aren’t missing out on anything they’re entitled to.
