nib is excited to team up with Best Places to Work
(BPTW) as a diamond sponsor, to celebrate the Kiwi businesses prioritising the health and wellbeing of their teams.
Supporting staff and their wellbeing should be a top priority for all businesses. Not only is it the right thing to do but it makes business sense, helping to improve retention and productivity in the workplace. We invite you to talk to your clients about engaging in the 2024 programme and showing them the role that private health insurance can play in creating a positive work culture.
The Workplace Wellbeing survey (2022) powered by the nib and the EMA found that those thinking about a career change wanted employers that offered flexible working (78%), career development (74%), regular performance feedback (73%), wellbeing initiatives (69%) and health insurance (57%), revealing a key opportunity for advisers.
Ian Sargeant, nib National Manager Group, Partnerships and Strategy, said, “The research found that health insurance is a sought-after perk for employees looking at new roles and a key element in attracting and retaining top talent, especially in today’s tight labour market.
“When employees feel like their employer has their back if their health takes a turn for the worst, they feel more motivated and productive which benefits the whole business,” adds Sargeant.
It’s clear that the workplace wellbeing conversation is top of mind for many businesses right now. As an adviser, you have an opportunity to demonstrate the long-lasting impact that private health insurance has on employee wellbeing, and in turn, overall business performance.
