The Year of the Dragon brought a burst of vibrant celebrations to Auckland's ASB Showgrounds earlier this month, with nib returning as sponsors of The Chinese New Year Festival. We were proud to attend the festival alongside dignitaries, representatives of the Chinese community, families, and individuals from across Auckland, and share the latest news and offerings from nib.
Recognising that our members and employees reflect both the diversity and make up of our community, we understand how important it is to be involved in Auckland’s cultural festivities and celebrate such an important event for so many.
Chris Carnall, nib’s Head of Distribution took the stage during the festival to express how delighted we were to support cultural events like these and promote inclusive health and wellbeing in a multicultural society like Auckland. On behalf of nib, Carnall presented a cheque of $12,000 to the Auckland Chinese Community Centre to help support the event.
The nib team had a wonderful time connecting with those who visited our stalls to learn more about our health insurance and life and living cover. Attendees were also interested in our OrbitProtect travel insurance for international students and workers, and inbound travellers visiting New Zealand.
Visitors also had the chance to win prizes on our spinning wheel and receive a free heart rate or free blood pressure check, encouraging people to take proactive steps towards a healthier lifestyle.
